Reticulated Foam is produced by the explosion process when a foam block (of controlled pore size) is placed in a pressure vessel with reactive gases which, when ignited, blow out up to 98% of the cell walls. The structure that it leaves is a dodecahedron.
Common uses for reticulated foams are, puppets, costumes, air filters, humidifier pads etc.
